RISE Egypt is hiring for several key positions. We are looking for qualified, dynamic, thoughtful leaders willing to roll up his/her sleeves to work with our small but growing team. 

RISE supports entrepreneurship for development in Egypt, leveraging a global network of domain experts, researchers, and investors to deliver high quality technical assistance to growth-stage social entrepreneurs in Egypt through its cutting edge fellowship program. RISE additionally is growing a think tank arm to link cutting edge research to its capacity-building work, and we plan to launch ‘Solution Summits’ in the coming year to facilitate synergies in sector-specific innovations that leapfrog progress in key areas (e.g. education, environment, workforce development). RISE also recently launched a Global Ambassadors Program, leveraging Egyptian diaspora leaders around the world to organize local events and global knowledge networks that connect back to our programming on the ground.

RISE Egypt M&E/Impact Manager

The M&E/Impact Manager will be principally responsible for ensuring that all programs have developed systems for collecting process, impact, and cost-benefit measures that enable our team to continuously improve our programming, report impact to stakeholders, and improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our delivery over time. 

The M&E/Impact Manager must have the following character, skills and abilities:

  • Solid organizational skills with an ability to take on multiple projects and create systems to organize and communicate details in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Creative ideas for how to communicate findings beyond the numbers, using multimedia and/or other tools to get our message out.
  • Strong quantitative and writing skills to develop annual impact reports for the organization.
  • A strong team ethic with an ability to coordinate with team members across time zones.
  • An easy-going disposition, ready to develop meaningful professional relationships with team members, partners, and members of our global community.

Specific responsibilities for the position include:

  • Collecting/tracking indicators from RISE fellows on a monthly basis and creating a system for analyzing data for impact over time.
  • Managing organizational data and databases and creating systems for assessing overall organizational impact.
  • Drafting annual impact reports for RISE Egypt.
  • Developing a communications strategy with support staff to disseminate impact information, including creative use of social media and multimedia tools.

The position will be sponsored by the Egypt Office of the International Labor Organization (ILO) and will have a competitive salary based on experience, to be located in Cairo, Egypt. 

Research Associate - Educate Me Impact Evaluation

The RISE-EM Research Associate will work with the RISE team to analyze recently collected data regarding program effectiveness for Educate Me’s community school model. This includes data from students, parents, and teachers. 

The RISE-EM Research Associate must have the following characteristics, skills and abilities:

  • Data analysis skills with an ability to model data appropriately and do statistical analyses, preferably using Stata;
  • Literature review skills with a clear understanding of how to search scientific databases to find literature that has been published related to the work we are doing in early childhood education and integrate knowledge acquired from key literature into modeling procedures;
  • An ability to work independently, taking responsibility for self-managing time and ensuring that high-quality work products are delivered on time for review and feedback;
  • A positive, easy-going personality, able and willing to adapt and work with a team across borders.

Specific responsibilities of the position include:

  • Analysis of Educate Me’s community school data
  • Reporting on data analysis findings
  • Conducting literature reviews as needed
  • Create slide deck to communicate findings
  • Write up report to communicate findings

Program Assistant

The Program Assistant will support managers in key areas of work, including but not limited to:

  • Communications to key stakeholders and partners;
  • Implementation of programmatic activities such as conferences, meetings, accelerators, etc;
  • Report-writing and/or administrative tasks as needed.

The Program Assistant should represent the following qualities, skills and abilities:

  • Detail oriented;
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in both Arabic and English;
  • Flexibility, with an ability to manage multiple projects with various team members;
  • Ability to work independently, while also exhibiting a strong team ethic;
  • An easy-going disposition, able to develop strong professional relationships within the RISE team and with external stakeholders and partners.

Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant will report to various managers and the President, assisting with key administrative duties of the organization, including but not limited to:

  • Management of Salesforce database;
  • Coordination with accountant for financial reporting;
  • Assisting with reporting tasks related to donor grants (w/the M&E/Impact Manager);
  • Emails and written communications with internal and external stakeholders, as needed;
  • Organizing and maintaining updated files for the organization;
  • Ensuring all media and design assets are organized and ready for marketing and media use;
  • Write-up of meeting notes from board meetings, strategic planning sessions, conferences, etc.

The Administrative Assistant should have the following qualities, skills and abilities:

  • Detail-oriented;
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in both Arabic and English;
  • Responsive and efficient, quickly turning around administrative tasks and projects;
  • Flexibility, with an ability to manage multiple projects with various team members;
  • Ability to work independently, while also exhibiting a strong team ethic;
  • An easy-going disposition, able to develop strong professional relationships within the RISE team and with external stakeholders and partners.
